Honey lovers are pulling out the big bucks for a taste of some Kiwi-made liquid gold.
The True Honey Company's produced a range limited to 1000 jars that's officially been labelled the purest manuka honey ever.
The 230-gram jars will go on sale at London department store Harrods next week, retailing for more than $2700 each.
Chief executive Jim McMillan told Tim Dower there's already been people preordering the honey, with some people buying six to 10 jars at a time.
"It's limited to one thousand jars, because we don't know if they can reproduce it.Â
McMillan says the massive demand for the honey is down to the environmental factors that are at play.
