David Seymour's hit out at the secondary teacher's union, over its new charter school's position.

The PPTA's changed it's constitution to allow teachers at charter schools to be members of the union.

It says it's still opposed to the model but wants to allow teachers to be represented after new rules to increase the number of charter schools.

Associate Education Minister David Seymour told Ryan Bridge there's a big difference between the teachers in the classroom, and the activist union organizers in Wellington.

He says the PPTA has previously been very aggressive towards charter schools, but now seem to be reading the tea leaves.
