National says it's getting back to farming as it prepares to release its full election year farming policy.
Changes include doubling the RSE worker cap to 38,000 people, and creating a path to residency through the Accredited Employer Work Visa.
The party is also pledging to ban foreign investment in farms to convert to forestry for carbon farming.
It will also enact a two for one rule for new agriculture regulation, removing two for every new one introduced.
Federated Farmers National President, Andrew Hoggard told Roman Travers the proposed RSE cap increase would be good news for the horticulture sector.
