Liam Lawson was beaten by his Red Bull replacement Yuki Tsunoda on the opening lap of the Japanese Grand Prix. 

He finished 17th, while Tsunoda finished 12th. 

His former Red Bull team-mate, Max Verstappen, won from pole position.
