UPDATED: 9.57PM An Australian Federal Police officer has been injured in a firearms incident in its Melbourne headquarters.
Police and ambulance officers responded to the incident about 5.45pm.
The injured person suffered a gunshot wound at the AFP's La Trobe Street building.
The officer has been taken to hospital, and police say the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
