A rare glimmer of hope has been glimpsed in the fight against climate change.

The International Energy Agency has found annual global emissions of CO2 did not rise in 2014 - showing our efforts to tackle climate change has made some impact.

The agency claims China, the world's largest carbon polluter, is among the main reasons emissions stalled last year.

The large Asian nation is believed to have cut its use of coal - one of the biggest sources of carbon emissions and installed more hydro-electricity, wind and solar power.
