Police are now questioning a man over the deaths of three people at a family planning centre in the US state of Colorado.

Nine more were injured when a man walked in with a rifle and opened fire.

Now, stories of dramatic escapes are emerging.

"He was in front of me. And he was aiming at me. And he started shooting - and I was looking at his face. I think I had five to ten seconds to look at him."

 The gunman was involved in a five-hour stand-off with police, before surrendering.
