A New Zealand man has been found dead at a resort in Cambodia.
Local media are reporting that the body of a foreigner, named as Ralph Douglas McLean, was discovered on Saturday afternoon in a room at the Cozy Resort in the province of Sihanoukville.
Mr McLean's New Zealand passport was found in the room. It says he was born in Kawakawa.
It is understood the 72-year-old had suffered a heart attack and had only been staying at the resort for two days.
It is not known whether Mr McLean was staying with anyone else, but Cambodian media said there are moves to bring his body back to family in New Zealand.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade confirmed they were aware of Mr McLean's death.
"The New Zealand Embassy in Bangkok is providing consular assistance to Mr McLean's family."
