Multiple people have been charged in connection to Liam Payne’s death after he fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina in October.
According to the Argentinian online newspaper Infobae on Saturday, five individuals, including a friend of the One Direction singer, businessman Roger Nores, face charges and two are remanded in custody.
Nores, who spent time with Payne during his stay at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, is charged with negligent homicide, Infobae claimed.
It is not known if authorities have taken Nores into custody.
Four others have reportedly been charged with drug-related offences and manslaughter.

Infobae reported waiter Braian Paiz – who allegedly admitted to using drugs including cocaine with the singer – and another CasaSur Palmero worker, Ezequiel Pereyra, are charged with supplying narcotics for payment.
CasaSur Palermo hotel managers Gilda Martin and Esteban Grassi are reportedly charged with manslaughter.
The 31-year-old singer died when he fell from the balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires on October 16.
Since then, local police have investigated the circumstances surrounding his death.
Payne’s body was released to his family on November 7 after the completion of toxicology and laboratory tests, with his father flying it back to Britain nearly a month after the star’s death.
More to come.
