Former US president Jimmy Carter has blown out three candles representing the past, present and future to celebrate his 90th birthday.
The 39th US president, who was in office from 1977 to 1981, joked that "it's been a good first 90 years."
Mr Carter is the second-oldest of the five living US presidents.
