Forget sitting the family in front of the computer to show them your latest holiday snaps.

Facebook appears to be trialling a new feature which collates vacation check-ins, photos, videos and status updates.

When a user checks in at places away from their home town over a period of time, it invites them to view related posts as a 'trip slideshow'.

It shows where you've been and a selection of highlights from the trip, and allows you to share the slideshow on your timeline.

However the feature only appears to be available on mobile apps at this stage and shows events in US time.
