A group of New Zealand rugby players found themselves in a tight squeeze in Ireland’s capital after 10 became stuck in a lift.
The Dublin Fire Brigade posted on X explaining the athletes had fitted themselves into a lift that had a weight limit of 500kg.
They became trapped when the lift malfunctioned and emergency services had to be called.
Donnybrook firefighters came to the rescue prising the closed door open with an instrument.
Social media users were quick to point out that 10 Kiwi rugby players would weigh well over 500kg and questioned why they believed they would fit in the first place.
Another made a joke about their “line-out badly needs to reassess their “lifting” technique”.
“The lift was rated for 500kg, it had a team of ten rugby players from New Zealand in it....... ' That reads like the opening of a maths question on a test paper!”
Others hoped the All Blacks would opt to use the same lift when they visit Dublin next month to take on the Irish side.
