Australia's hottest year on record wouldn't have happened without climate change, according to a new report.
The ockers had their hottest day, month, season and calendar year in 2013, with the mean temperature more than a degree above the average.
A report by the Climate Council says without greenhouse gas emissions, the heat events would only have happened once in every 12,000 years.
The report also claims heat waves across Australia are getting hotter, lasting longer, occurring more often and starting earlier in the year.
