Amnesty International has been forced to admit it did lobby to get the Martin Place gunman entry into Australia.
A letter supporting Man Monis was given to immigration in 1997, helping him gain refugee status.
Amnesty claims it was mislead into thinking he was a top Iranian spy, who needed protection.
