Tony Abbott will meet with his cabinet and wider ministry in Canberra today, as he looks to shore up his position as Prime Minister.
He'll start today's meeting with an overview of the government's direction, before each minister outlines their portfolio priorities for the next year.
And he has the support of Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce, who is defending his leader-
"There's nothing worse than somebody who makes a mistake in your workplace and you spend the rest of your life just hounding them about it.
"OK, it was a mistake, you move on. That's how decent people work."
