An early morning toilet break in the middle of Wellington's Mount Victoria Tunnel has caused some delays for commuters.
As part of ongoing strengthening work the tunnel has been closed overnight, reopening each morning at 6am.
However, this morning that's been delayed, after a person walked through the tunnel and defecated in the middle of the road.
A clean-up operation is underway.
