While most parties are playing footsie with each other over who they'll work with after Saturday's election, Winston Peters has put the boot into Act.
The New Zealand First leader was asked whether he could work with Act leader David Seymour - and didn't take too kindly to the prospect.
"Next question, please," Mr Peters said when first asked.
"I'm not going to sit here and listen to ridiculous questions in this campaign anymore. I'd like you to actually talk about things that are actually important - he [Mr Seymour] is not."
Mr Peters is also getting tetchy about being painted as the possible 'kingmaker'.
The New Zealand First leader made his feelings known about being seen in that way, when asked by media today.
"I despise that phrase, frankly," he said.
"I'm not in the game to be the king or queenmaker. I wish that the media in this country could elevate their sights a bit more to an important debate about the issues that do matter in this country."
