Australian cricket stars Steve Smith and David Warner are reportedly set to pay a hefty price for their part in the ball-tampering scandal.
According to ABC cricket commentator Jim Maxwell, Smith and Warner will both receive 12 month bans from Cricket Australia for deciding to tamper with the ball in a test match against South Africa.
Cameron Bancroft - the player instructed to tamper with the ball - is set to get a nine month ban.
The bans would apply to international cricket, with Smith and Warner having already been removed as captain and vice captain respectively, and sent home from South Africa before the final test.
Both players had also already stood down from their roles as captains with their Indian Premier League squads, and Smith will reportedly not play any part in the IPL at all.
It was judged by Cricket Australia that the duo and Bancroft were the only three players with any knowledge of the illegal scheme.
The trio were charged with code of conduct breaches, and Australian cricket chief James Sutherland said they would receive "significant sanctions".
For Smith and Warner, those sanctions look to see them banned for a year - returning in time for the 2019 Cricket World Cup and Ashes, while Bancroft is set to get a nine month ban.
Smith will hold a media conference when he lands in Sydney, with an official announcement from Cricket Australia expected tonight.
