Sonny Bill Williams religious beliefs will see him refuse to wear the logo of Super League's title sponsor.
The Toronto Wolfpack's marquee signing converted to Islam in 2009 and his religious beliefs preclude him from supporting companies promoting gambling.
Toronto Chairman Bob Hunter confirmed the news to the Daily TelelgraphÂ
"In today's society there are some very sensitive issues but I think the sponsor can say 'yes, okay, we understand this. He's a big brand and big name but we get it'."
Betfred are the title sponsor of Super League.
Williams previously covered up a sponsors logo while playing for the Blues.Â
It was previously reported that his contract with Toronto, a $10 million, two-year deal, made him the highest earning star in the history of the two rugby codes.
