Greenpeace protesters made their mark in the capital ahead of today's visit by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Four activists, in climbing gear, scaled a construction crane at the back of the Parliamentary complex.
They were ensconced on the crane's boom, about 50 metres up in the air on a wet and rainy Wellington morning.

The crane is located in the Bowen State building complex, which is currently being refurbished.
It's outside of the Parliamentary complex, so the incident was left to Police to manage.
The protesters revealed a banner ahead of Mr Tillerson's arrival.
Mimicking Donald Trump, their large banner said denying climate change is a "huuge mistake".
Spokeswoman for the group 350 Aotearoa, Niamh O'Flynn, said they will be demonstrating their displeasure at the US pulling out of the Paris Climate accord.
"We're going to be rallying at Parliament and sending a live message to Bill English, calling on him to denounce Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement, and also urging him to do the right thing on climate change."
