The Labour Party president believes National is still sore about losing last year's election.
Labour is holding its first conference since taking office this weekend, in Dunedin.
Party President Nigel Haworth says National hasn't yet come to terms with being in opposition.
"National is clearly still grieving after the loss, they are still believing they were cheated in somewhere. They are fighting very hard to try and get back into power."
Nigel Haworth told delegates Labour can't afford to be complacent, despite currently being in power.
