The bi, intersex, rainbow and transgender flags have been hoisted at Parliament.

The move marks the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

The Human Rights Commission says it signals our leaders are committed to addressing the issues facing the Rainbow Community.

But it says progress needs to continue.

The Commission has announced it will facilitate consultations twice a year between the Rainbow community and the Parliamentary cross-party network.
