A song and dance to kick off Labour's campaign for Maori seats, but it seems there's been a misunderstanding with partner-Party the Greens.
Maori campaign director Willie Jackson says they're looking to the Greens to help Labour keep hold of the Maori electorates.
But when asked about that comment leader Andrew Little was of the view they already are.
"Green Party members know that if they want to change the government, they've got to back Labour MPs as electorate candidates in those seats. Then we've got to make sure we campaign respectfully for the party vote."
But the Green Party's Te Tai Hauauru candidate Jack McDonald says while they work with Willie Jackson on a range of things, helping Labour's candidates win Maori seats isn't one of them.
"We've worked with him on our Te Reo policy. We speak to him on different kaupapa that he's involved with, but we haven't been speaking to him about the Maori electorates and us standing aside or anything like that."
Mr McDonald said while the party vote is the most important one for the Greens, it's ultimately up to voters to decide who their representative should be.
"People should just vote for who they think will best represent their rohe [area] in Parliament."
