There a raft of issues for Jacinda Ardern and Malcolm Turnbull to talk about when the two leaders meet tomorrow in Sydney.
The Prime Minister travelled to Australia soon after taking office last year when the Manus Island refugee issue dominated.
Ardern says this time there are other things she wants to talk about.
"Citizenship issues, deportation issues, I'm sure issues around Manus will come up. But we also raise new items, things that will progress our relationship, and that will include we can do for medium sized businesses."
The meetings are part of the annual Australia-New Zealand Leadership Forum.
While the issue over Manus refugees has dominated talk of the countries relationship, the issue of Australian deportation of New Zealand criminals is top of Ardern's priorities.
"When you see those cases where someone who has never set foot in New Zealand is sent back. There's no doubt that Australia is well within their rights to do what they are doing, but there is really here a big question about whether it's the right thing to do, so we will raise it."
She will be joined in Sydney by her new political opponent, as Simon Bridges will fly over as well.
The new National leader says the trip would allow him to take the pulse of the Australian business community.
"There's also the possibility of meeting up with Malcolm Turnbull," he says.
