A young Christchurch band has been the first to play in the city's Town Hall since the devastating 2011 earthquake.
The building, which was badly damaged in the quake, is still being restored and is due to open to the public next year.
But today, Christ College band RUN77 got to rock the hall's auditorium, in front of the Mayor and city councillors.
"It feels really cool. it's pretty surreal. Definitely a privilege to be the first band to play in the new town hall".
The band said the acoustics sound amazing.
