The death of a woman in Whangārei is not being treated as suspicious, police say.
A post-mortem examination was carried out today after she was located unresponsive at a Moody Avenue property shortly before 5pm on Saturday.
Police said the woman’s death, previously treated as unexplained, will be referred to the Coroner.
A family member of the woman declined to speak to the Northern Advocate when approached on Monday.
Police carried out a scene examination on Sunday and went door-to-door trying to speak to residents on the street.
A cordon was in place across the home’s driveway, where a police officer was stationed outside.
