Negotiations towards the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal look set to resume in two weeks, in Kuala Lumpur.
Trade Negotiations Minister Tim Groser said talks have been ongoing since the last ministerial meeting in Hawaii.
While there is no date yet for the next one, the Minister said the Maui meeting created a sense of purpose.
He'll be heading to Kuala Lumpur for negotiations on a separate trade deal among 16 countries.
Mr Groser said he expects bilateral meetings on the TPP will take place there too.
