Airline Emirates has re-committed to sponsor Team New Zealand through to the next America's Cup in 2017.

The yachting syndicate's future had been up in the air after the Government announced it'd cease funding the team if it was unable to hold a regatta in Auckland in the lead-up to the next series.

Team New Zealand manager Grant Dalton has made the announcement in a video, uploaded to YouTube.

He made the announcement on the eve of the 20th anniversary of Team New Zealand's first time winning the iconic silverware.
