Three people were injured in a serious crash near Te Anau overnight.
Police confirmed they were called to a crash on Manapouri Te Anau Highway at around 12am on Monday morning.
Two people were taken to hospital in a critical condition and one other person had moderate injuries.
Police said the road was closed following the crash while emergency services attended the scene.
NZTA described the crash as a “serious incident” and said SH95 was closed between the intersection with SH94 and Mount York Rd at 7.30am.
Police said they are making inquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
