A high profile judge is being accused of holding up the Treaty settlement process, to put more money in lawyers' pockets.
Treaty Settlements Minister Chris Finlayson has blasted former High Court judge and Waitangi Tribunal chairman Sir Eddie Durie.
He's accused Sir Eddie of helping fuel a dispute between trustees of the Crown Forestry Rental Trust, which has over a million dollars in legal fees in the past year alone.
He says Sir Eddie had made allegations against the Trust's Crown-appointed chairwoman.
But Sir Eddie says Mr Finlayson is misinformed.
