The coach of the Silver Ferns says Casey Kopua will leave a lasting legacy for New Zealand netball.
The former captain of the Silver Ferns has quit test netball after 101 internationals to spend more time with her family.
Silver Ferns coach Janine Southby said Kopua has set an example of how younger players should play the game.
"The uncompromising play she has on court and that ability to get those clutch intercepts, to get the rebounds, to really pressure the opposition attacks to cough up balls."
Kopua will continue to play for the Waikato-Bay of Plenty Magic in the ANZ Premiership.
