A Greater Wellington councillor says there has been significant improvements to the bus system.
The regional council will be working on capacity issues, crowded buses at peak times and re-jigging timetables after feedback from users.
Additional peak services had already been introduced on two key routes from Karori and Lyall Bay, and more will be on the way this week.
Councillor Daran Ponter says although they've seen improvements in the last two weeks - there's still issues around the city.
"We have seen significant improvements over the past couple of weeks but are continuing to work on it. "
Ponter says they have been listening to public feedback, and will be putting on additional peak services on routes from Karori and Lyall Bay.
"We will be putting on more services to help the changeover run smoothly."
There were problems last month with the new timetables, routes and buses following Tranzit taking over most of the region's services.
