Auckland motorists are being warned about delays and diversions after a crash closed State Highway 1 northbound near Bombay. 

The two-car crash in South Auckland on the Waikato Expressway took place around 8.45am near Nikau and Mill Rds. 

“Due to a crash the road northbound is closed after the Nikau Rd overbridge,” the NZ Transport Agency said. 

“Expect delays when travelling through this area or consider postponing your journey.” 

Police said no injuries have been reported in the crash. 

It asked motorists to follow the directions of emergency teams at the scene.
