UPDATED 11.22AM A parent whose son was on a school bus that crashed this morning in Dannevirke is relieved the children are okay.
The bus with about 14 children on board has hit a power pole on its way to Ruahine School.
Kevin Lowe says everybody, including his son, seems to be okay - although a bit shaken.
The accident happened on Top Grass Road just before 8.30am.
Four children have minor injuries, and have been checked by medical staff.
The remaining children were taken to school.
The driver was not injured.
Police say the cause of the crash is not yet known but there have been strong winds in the area.
