The Olive Ridley turtle found washed up on a Wellington beach is heading to her new temporary home in Auckland.
The endangered turtle has been looked after at Wellington Zoo since she was found in a critical condition, with hypothermia, dehydration, and a broken shell.
Vet Dr Baujke Linting said the turtle is now fit and strong enough to move on to her next stage of rehabilitation at Kelly Tarlton's.
Ridley will fly to Auckland on an early Air New Zealand flight tomorrow morning.
