Massive relief for the family of a disabled baby, with the Capital and Coast DHB taking back a decision not to offer him life support.
William Burton was twice sent home from hospital before doctors diagnosed him with meningitis in 2013.
The DHB had told his family it wouldn't offer him ventilation when he needed it, because his outlook was so bad.
However, it's now taken that decision back.
William's father Derek believes that's down to the groundswell of support they've had since going public with their story a month ago.
"We have had numerous emails and conversations with people. The level of support out there has been overwhelming - it's been touching."
A give-a-little page for William has so far raised almost $14,000.
