A record-smashing pumpkin for one Morrinsville farmer.
Tim Harris has topped the lot at the Great Pumpkin Carnival in Hamilton, his giant pumpkin weighing in at a whopping 754 and a half kilograms.
He's also pipped the Australian record, making the pumpkin the heaviest ever grown in the Southern Hemisphere.
The enormous vegetable was always destined to break records...at its peak growth rate, it was putting on 20 kilograms a day.
And while soup is on many people's minds, Mr Harris says a pumpkin that big won't taste any good.
He says it's destined for the cows, who love the taste of pumpkin.
