Police have launched an investigation after a man was injured in a fight at Hutt Hospital, was rushed to WellingtonRegional Hospital and then died.

“Police are working to determine the full circumstances of what occurred,” a police spokesman said.

The incident happened on Friday December 27, police said.

The fight left the man with a brain injury.

“The investigation remains ongoing,” police said.
