A man dropped off at Dargaville Hospital with serious injuries has undergone surgery.
Police were advised at 10.40pm yesterday that a man in his late 50s had been dropped off at the hospital about five hours earlier, a police spokeswoman said.
He was airlifted to Whangārei Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
“At this stage it is unclear how his injuries were sustained,” the spokeswoman said.
“Police will be undertaking inquiries today.”
