A man has been arrested after allegedly shooting a person in the Waikato township of Paeroa this morning.
Policewere called to a property near the intersection of Corbett St and Albert St shortly before 11am after reports that a firearm had been discharged.
One person was located with minor injuries, consistent with a gunshot wound and police recovered a firearm - believed to be the one involved in this morning’s incident.
A 33-year-old man is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court tomorrow charged with wounding with reckless disregard and commission of an offence with a firearm.
Meanwhile, police wished to speak to anyone who saw a silver Subaru Impreza hatchback, with a boot full of wood around Paeroa this morning.
