A man has been shot following a firearms incident at a bar in Auckland’s Highland Park. 

Police were called at 9.46pm on Thursday night after three men entered a bar on Dunrobin Place and assaulted a man before a shot was fired. 

The incident occurred at Apple Jacks Bar and Eatery in Pakuranga.

“One person received a serious injury and was transported to hospital,” a police spokesperson said. 

Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident, and who is responsible, are ongoing.
