A four-vehicle crash on Auckland’s Northwestern Motorway is causing lengthy delays this afternoon.
The crash occurred on the Northwestern Motorway near Grey Lynn between the St Lukes Rd on-ramp and the Newton Rd off-ramp.
Police were called to the scene just before lunchtime around 11.55am.
New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is reporting that SH16 is now fully open approaching Spaghetti Junction.
SH16 was down to one eastbound lane while recovery operations took place.
Commuters should expect significant delays between the SH16/SH20 interchange at Waterview and Spaghetti Junction as residual congestion eases.
NZTA urges commuters to take an alternative route.

Police say no injuries or blockages have been reported at this stage.
Commuters said there were a number of emergency vehicles present at the scene.

NZTA said SH1 is fully open approaching Spaghetti Junction following a prior crash near the Khyber Pass Off-ramp.
Commuters should expect delays northbound along the Newmarket Viaduct as residual congestion eases.
