Details have been unveiled about a 1.5 million dollar sculpture for Auckland's Queens Wharf.
The six by six metre structure will sit at the end of the Wharf, behind The Cloud, and will house an illuminated glass chandelier.
The lighthouse was originally reported to look like a state house, however the council's manager of Culture and Heritage Kaye Glamuzina says it's designed to look like an ordinary Kiwi home.
She says the four and a half tonne multi-coloured chandelier will be the main attraction.
Barfoot and Thompson have gifted one million dollars for the artwork.
