Police are investigating after a man was found with critical injuries at a Cloverlea address in Palmerston North.

He was taken to hospital yesterday, where he remains in a serious condition.

A guard has been placed at the address and a scene examination will take place over the next few days.

“We would like to reassure the public that preliminary inquiries have established this is an isolated incident,” Detective Sergeant Shelley Ross said in a statement.

“Residents will notice an additional police presence in the area while our inquiries are carried out.”
