A man has been arrested after another person was critically injured following an altercation at a West Auckland concert.
Police said a man became aggressive after being denied entry to the music event at The Trusts Arena in Henderson on Thursday night before 9pm.
“He was allegedly confronted by another person, who hit him.”
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition but is now stable.
A 34-year-old man was charged with wounding with intent to injure, and will appear in the Waitākere District Court on January 22.
Kaytranada performed a sold-out show at The Trusts Arena last night as part of his Timeless Tour, ahead of six Australian dates.
The acclaimed Canadian producer previously performed in Auckland in 2017 and as part of Fomo Festival in 2019.
