New Zealand's love affair with sport shone through in the past year, with #RWC2015, #CWC15 and #AllBlacks all featuring in the nation's top-10 hashtag trends.
National pride was also high, with #NewZealand, #Auckland and #NZflag also taking out top spots.
As another year draws to an end, Twitter has analysed the nation's tweets during 2015 and compiled lists highlighting what captured Aotearoa's social media addicts.
The Golden Tweet of 2015, the most re-tweeted tweet from a Kiwi, was from @LordeMusic, in response to the Chapel Hill shootings in North Carolina in February.
The pop star posted a photo of the three victims, noting that she was standing by her Muslim fans and friends.
"My heart goes out to everyone who knew these three beautiful, smart people," she wrote. "Muslim friends and fans, I'm with you."
Lorde also had the most-followed Kiwi Twitter account for the year, closely followed by world-famous The Vampire Diaries actor Daniel Gillies, with DJ Zane Lowe, cricketer Ross Taylor and All Black Sonny Bill Williams rounding out the top five.
In terms of top trends for the year, #jobs was the number-one business trend, #NowPlaying number one for music, #RWC2015 for sport, #XFactorNZ for television, #NZFlag for news, #NewZealand for places, #ChoiceSelfieTaker for lifestyle and #nzpol for politics.
The most tweeted emoji was the "face with tears of joy", while "smiling face with heart-shaped eyes" took out number-two spot.
