A large house fire has broken out in South Auckland this afternoon.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said crews are at a MÄngere East structure fire.
FENZ say they were alerted to the âwell-involvedâ fire just after 1pm.
Fire crews have now brought the fire on Gray Avenue under control.
Five trucks have come from MÄngere, Ĺtara, Manurewa and ĹtÄhuhu.
A police spokesperson said they are assisting with traffic management and have closed the road at the intersection of Gray Avenue and ĹrÄkau Road.
Middlemore Hospital confirmed they saw visible smoke drift outside the hospital.
Hato Hone St John assistance was not required.
