Kiwiblog has become a member of the Online Media Standards Authority.
David Farrar pledged in August that he would apply for Kiwiblog to become a member after the Dirty Politics scandal.
He said at the time it was so the blog could "be held accountable to a public code of ethics and standards".
It is the first blog to apply for and be accepted as a member of OMSA.
Members which publish news and current affairs content online have to adhere to a code of standards including accuracy, balance, privacy and responsible content.
