The Hurricanes have won their first Super Rugby title after defeating the Lions 20-3 in Wellington.
The Hurricanes outscored the Lions by two tries to nil in wet, cold and windy conditions at Westpac Stadium.
The win - courtesy of tries by Cory Jane and Beauden Barrett and 10 points from the boot of Barrett - ensured loose forward Victor Vito was able to celebrate his 100th and final game for the franchise in style.
It ended a 20-year title-wait for the Hurricanes who had previously lost finals in 2006 (Crusaders) and 2015 (Highlanders).
