Hawke's Bay is set to have a very soggy anniversary day.
A severe weather watch has been issued, for heavy rain for anniversary day on Friday, and Saturday.
MetService says a trough of low pressure will move northwards over the North Island tomorrow, followed by a period of southerly rain for eastern areas.
The weather watch says 100 millimetres is possible over 24 hours.
